This cuvée is normally a blend of 45%-60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30%-40% Cabernet Franc and the rest tiny dollops of Petit Verdot and Merlot. The 2011 Proprietary Red Thorevilos exhibits classic notes of white flowers, blueberries, blackberries, and hints of chocolate and wet rocks, a full-bodied mouthfeel, sweet tannin and an incredibly long finish. In a vintage that offered so many challenges, this wine’s purity and full-bodied texture are remarkable. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.
